I tried using the DivX software. it was a good converter but for a full length movie, you also convert it in full length time. what i mean is, it took hours for me to convert a movie...

so i tried just to drag and drop them into the memory card...

.wmv and .avi file types are working fine but not all files can be played (maybe because of codec reasons, but only few files can't be opened). Renoirs can play upto near 200kbps videos (i "think" it can play upto near 300kbps, i forgot.. hehe).

The "kbps" of a video file can be seen in its "properties", or if using a Windows XP pc,the details, including the kbps, will appear just pointing the cursor/mouse to the file.

I don't know the complete list of filetypes our Renoir can play or support so post them if you know all/additional types.. Smiley

Convert your videos through DivX if your storage card is limited in size (like 1GB and 2GB memory cards), but this will cost you poorer audio quality and conversion time. hope this helps. Smiley

The bitrate goes higher than that, videos i've converted have a bitrate of 570kb/s

A q6670 quad core CPU OC'd to 2.9ghz will convert a 42min video to the correct size in 7 minutes! Cool
