Hi, I've had my renoir about a month now and I'm having a problem withe the snooze feature.  I have set it to play an mp3 file when the alarm goes off but when I press snooze the music just keeps playing.  The only way I can get round it is to set seperate alarms ten minutes apart and turn them off each time.  I've pressed the last alarm once and was almost late for work.  Is it just faulty or am I missing something?

Also, my friend has a Sony, which I used to have, and keeps sending me texts with little images for sad, happy, etc. They show up on the texts she sends me but I can't find them anywhere to send on my messages.  And as I've had a sony for years I really miss them!  Please help!

The song continues to play because the alarm setup is only intended for beeps/chimes etc, did your Sony cut off the song when you hit snooze? [edit- I was just testing this and if I make it snooze then press the red button the music stops but the alarm works properly, do you use alarms with the phone off initially?]

For some reason the LG alarm program is still bugged, my last phone, the u890, had a problem where if u set an alarm, then leave the alarm page, then go back to the alarm page to see what times you've set, unless you retype/set them again they wont go off when you leave the alarm page. (not sure if the Renoir has the same prob yet)
I too was almost late for work the other day due the Renoir's setup, it seems pressing STOP when the 1st goes off disables them all, even though it says they are turned on on the alarm page, and to top it off there is that seperate alarm on the clock widget, that turns the regulars off too I think.

Set up/switch on a new alarm each time one goes off is what I do.

Thanks for your reply.

My Sony allowed all music to be used as an alarm and stopped when I pressed snooze.  The LG does the same if it's a beep or an alarm sound.  It's any MP3 file.  As most are MP3s this causes a problem!  This morning it went off and then I received a text.  The phone put the text up and I couldn't then get the music to stop at all and I ended up turning the phone off!  It's now beginning to drive me mad.

The setting of alarms works fine but the snooze feature and the music stopping don't.  All alarms work when they're set and play what I ask them to at the right time.  It's the turning them off that's the problem!

Any ideas about the smileys anyone?

There may be some technique/setting that can fix that, but otherwise, unless LG release a firmware upddate with that fixed, the best thing to do is to get the songs you want and chop everything but the first 20ish seconds off of them and save them as a new mp3s (or voice record 20ish seconds of the song and use that).

Do you have the phone turned on or off before the alarms activate?

I think it's broken to be honest! Thanks for the suggestions.

I always have the phone on but on silent when the alarm is set.

I love the phone and this is the only thing that spoils it.  Well, apart from the stupid place for the language change option!  How easy is that to hit by accident when you're texting?

eeep, woke up late this morning due to the fangled alarm programming, it still gets me, I have 2 alarms, one wakes me up at 420am so I can half sleep to 520am, when my next one should go off.
I even re-programmed the 2nd one for 518am when the 1st woke me up, switched off the phone as per usual afterwards but it didn't do anything at 518am! woke up at 610 and made it in time though.
I've dared not use the desktop widget alarm clock because I was worried with cross-over-alarm-clock-confusion with the phone "CPU thing", but I might experiment now since it can't get much worse.

I don't like to leave it on because of radiation  Cool

Have you switched off the confirmation tone? My snooze worked fine till I switched that off, then after pressing snooze the mp3 I used for my alarm played right through to the end.

Switched the confirmation beep back on, got a functional snooze again!

If you press the blue dice, then Settings, then Profiles and select the profile you are using, about halfway down there should be Confirmation Tone, with a slider for On or Off.

I use MP3s. They worked for a while then started to do the whole playing right to the end when I hit the snooze button thing. Drove me mad. Eventually I figured out that this changed right after I'd messed about with the settings. Not wild about the confirmation beep every time I do something, but it's better than no snoozing in the morning!
