Whenever I attempt to record from LG renoir 8mpixel phone it gives me many stops during the process of recording.
after viewing the recorded file the stops remain and that's pretty annoying.
anyone having the same problem? any solutions?

That's not right, maybe a firmware update will fix that, are you running any programs in the background when you record? (multitasking icon up top?).

Possibly the phone reset option could fix it too, back up your stuff and remove SD card and SIM beforehand (phone functions without sim  Smiley )

But is there such a firmware available in order to update this to my lg renoir?
I tried to find at least some customer support but lg seems to have no interest on such departments.
Nokia is the best on that. and firmwares so vastly available.

Go to www.lgmobile.com, choose your country and then go to the Manual & Software page, the Renoir is now supported for my country not sure about others though.

Will there be any new widgets for LG renoir? those seem too boring. I wish you could "widgeted" some icons already existed in the menu.

I agree with widgetizing menu items, I doubt there will be new widgets but I am going to try and contact the people who work in the firmware department and convince them that this is a phone they should support heavily with lots (a new one every 2 months?) of firmware upgrades, which is something they should do since it will help them get more customers and keep the ones they have, it's quite known that LG aren't so good with aftermarket extras, I love this phone and really don't want it to develop abandonment issues.

I agree with that. This phone is great. Someting I never expected from LG brand especially in the mobile phone market.
It exceeds my expectations appart from the aftersales service.
I mean the creators of this phone should be so proud that they would want to fix the firmware even better.
Sometimes it gives me the feel that this phone just fell from the sky to South Korea region and LG does not know how to improve a firmware since they did not create it.

I found a way to install skype and to be able to use it on LG renoir. Did you find any way for hotmail messenger?

There's a bunch of messenger programs you can get.

and something else. Where is the file to upgrade lg- renoir? I tried to browse through the greek language and there is no file to upgrade the firmware whatsoever. The content is also really poor.

absolutely, I have the updater program and can't get it to work on my PC, it's slow and doesn't do anything.

And i found no file either, surely they're not stupid enough to think we want to stream the update through the internet and PC into the phone...

Yeah that's the icon that appears when you use phone internet data transfer apart from browser because a globe appears there.
I'm pretty sure you just pay the internet data costs to call people though Nimbuzz, so maybe on wifi you pay nothing lol, the person you call will see your phone number still.

I have a theory that if you have the phone on with no sim card in it, you could connect to a local Wi-Fi setup and make free calls and then your number shouldn't show? would never have to pay for calls ever lol

You can just use the standard phone browser and go to the site, and right down the bottom of the page there is a tiny link that takes you to the desktop version
Or if it's easier, key in this address:
